What I was doing on 9/11 ten years ago

This was the first image I saw on television

Ten years ago, on this day, one of the greatest modern, human-made disasters occurred. It was then that a group of Muslims from the “religion of peace,” attacked non-combatants (excluding the Pentagon), innocent by-standers, killing 2,977 victims, plus the 19 hijackers.

I can remember the day as if it were yesterday. I was busy buying a car in Centurion (South Africa), and as we were going to start the paper work, one of the salesmen came out of the coffee room saying that America was being attacked. We all rushed in to see what was happening, and I just could not believe what I was seeing. Just 9 months before that, we returned to South Africa after living in Columbus, Ohio for two years. While living there I came to love the country and its people, so when I saw this happening I could almost start feeling a physical ache in my heart as I saw the destruction and death of so many people. Watching the people running in the streets and the billowing dust from the buildings that came thundering down, I could see the fear in their faces and the panic that ensued. It was unbelievable. It was like watching one of Bruce Willis’ Die Hard movies! I couldn’t fathom how this could all be real! I sat and watched there for a very long time, until I could take it no longer.

The car salesman and I completed the paper work, I transferred the money to them, and then I rushed back to work to tell everyone there what had happened. Everyone tried to check out different news sites like CNN, but CNN’s website had so many people trying to get in that from our vantage point, it seemed to have died from all the pressure. At the end of the working day I rushed home to switch on the television. This must be the longest single “program” I ever watched on television. I watched as they replayed all the different scenes over and over again till I simply had to go to bed that night, feeling numb.

Cruelty: the culture of the Middle East?

A video, run by ABC News, shows the cruelty of Issa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a younger brother of Abu Dhabi's current ruler and president of the seven-member United Arab Emirates federation, Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. ABC News summarized the video:

"The Sheikh begins by stuffing sand down the man's mouth, as the police officers restrain the victim. Then he fires bullets from an automatic rifle around him as the man howls incomprehensibly. At another point on the tape, the Sheikh can be seen telling the cameraman to come closer. 'Get closer. Get closer. Get closer. Let his suffering show,' the Sheikh says.

"Over the course of the tape, Sheikh Issa acts in an increasingly sadistic manner. He uses an electric cattle prod against the man's testicles and inserts it in his anus. At another point, as the man wails in pain, the Sheikh pours lighter fluid on the man's testicles and sets them aflame. Then the tape shows the Sheikh sorting through some wooden planks. 'I remember there was one that had a nail in it,' he says on the tape. The Sheikh then pulls down the pants of the victim and repeatedly strikes him with board and its protruding nail."

Geert Wilders may no longer speak the truth

Geert Wilders, the outspoken Dutch parliamentarian, who speaks out against jihadist Islamists, may no longer have a different opinion of Islam than Islam!

Free speech is no longer valid in the Netherlands, or so is the opinion of one judge that determined that Wilders should be prosecuted for criticizing Islam.

They used to shell Israel and then drive away knowing that when Israel responds to the target, we would get hit, hopefully die, and we would make great pictures on the evening news representing dead civilians while Israel would be vilified. Here we are 30 years later and nothing has changed. They have just gotten better at it and the Western press has continued to buy this cruel Palestinian charade."

Hamas will not rest until Israel is obliterated

Those naive enough to think that the problems in Gaza will be negotiated away must be living on the planet Venus, where the toxic gases are affecting their ability to think rationally.

Hamas, and indeed, Islam, has one goal, and that is to destroy the state of Israel and conquer the West. Of course, you do not have to believe it for it to actually happen. Islam is already busy conquering Europe ideologically. Everywhere in Europe governments are starting to cave in to the demands of Islam. Next is America. But, I am off the point!

Hamas, is not interested in negotiations with Israel. The Hamas charter is encoded with the obliteration of Israel. It is one of their main reasons for existence... to destroy Israel.

Human rights only for some in Canada

Human rights, specifically free speech, is only meant for some in Canada. Disagree publically with perverse, despicable and sinful lifestyles, or with another religion (except Christianity, of course), and you will find yourself before some lunatic human "rights" tribunal.

Canada has indeed entered the era of the absurd. They infringe on the human rights of some to establish the human rights of others. How daft!

Who is Ahmadinejad really?

With countries like South Africa standing behind Iran's current regime, it is only fitting to ask the question, "Who is Ahmadinejad really?" South Africa claims to be helping Iran in its nuclear quest, on what level I do not know.

As he becomes a more recognizable figure to even casual news watchers, what is often glossed over is how little most in the West really know about him. Who is the real Ahmadinejad?

Sudan is the top human rights abuser

What we see in Darfur today is simply a relocation of human rights abuse that spanned the whole of Sudan just 10 years ago.

The Sudanese government allowed Islamic "fundamentalists to sell Christians into slavery, crucify them, and starve them to death. Once the two sides agreed to a truce brokered by former U.S. Sen. John Danforth, the persecution moved to the western province of Darfur."

Islamic nuclear weapons assistance from South Africa?

I watched Carte Blanche last night, which aired a segment called "Nuclear Jihad," a creation of CBC.

The program exposed A.Q. Khan, a Pakistani scientist, who sold nuclear secrets and components to a host of Islamic nations. It also showed how far his sales network reached, and also different countries involved in helping manufacture parts for nuclear weapons factories.

What concerns me is that it seems that South Africa was involved in this. Apparently some factory outside of Johannesburg helped manufacture parts for Khan's network!

I am sure that the South African public would like to know how involved the government was/is in this! It is common knowledge that the South African government is sympathetic towards Islamic nations; and, would it be surprising if the factory that manufactured these parts did so with the full knowledge of the SA government?

From this article it seems that the SA government could be innocent. Then, of course, in a court of law, innocence cannot be established, but only non-guilt, based on current verifiable information.

I can only surmise that the SA government knew of the factory. When "police found the elements of a two-storey steel processing system for the enrichment plant in a factory outside Johannesburg," government officials said that only nuclear components were discovered. However, it seems "that the massive system was designed to operate 1000 centrifuges for enriching uranium."

If the SA government was so circumspect about what was said to the press, what did they have to hide?

Another reason why I think the SA government is not so innocent, is the fact that it is a staunch supporter of Iran's nuclear program. Iran is sitting with all kinds of nuclear "goodies" that they bought via A.Q. Khan, and I am convinced that these "goodies" are not for peaceful purposes. Sure, perhaps the added benefit will be nuclear reactors in order to provide enough power to provide electricity to Iran, but I am not convinced that that is the primary purpose of Iran's search for nuclear capabilities! The reason I do not think that Iran has a peaceful purpose in mind here is the fact that their "nutty" president, Ahmadinejad, publicly, for the whole world to see and hear, said that Israel must be wiped off the map! How else can this be done except with nuclear capabilities?

South Africa, it seems, is a certain threat in the new "nuclear age" started by A.Q. Khan. The South African government obviously would deny this, yet I think that the jury is already in!
